With a longer wheelbase, wider stance and huge 5.9cc (.36 cubic inch) engine, the Savage XL is ready to rock and roll right out of the box!

We were looking to expand the Savage range of monster trucks and had to consider what would capture the imagination and hearts of legions of HPI Savage fans. HPI designers settled on a larger, fun-oriented version of the Savage with massive great tyres, a giant chunky bodyshell and powered by the biggest engine ever offered in a production Savage monster truck. The end result is the Savage XL!

This custom-built CY31RC engine, available exclusively at DDM, offers simply amazing performance. 30.5cc's of modified and fully ported power. 36mm bore, 30mm stroke. Simply put, this engine is the "king of kings" - it will out-torque and out-rev any other piston port 30.5cc motor. Aprox 4.5+ horsepower, and 6+ horsepower with a tuned pipe. Available in black or chrome, and with or without inner clutch. DDM has taken the hassle out of getting a massive 30.5cc motor.
